the miserable idea of measurement

the project juxtaposes the porosity and interconnectedness of Artspace’s neighbourhood spaces with its very dislocated and enclosed mezzanine space; using binaural recordings of different local voices mixed live with signals intercepted from the outside, it presents a series of overlapping refrains along with photographs of divers, mainly-local subjects; the project was presented within the space and shelving that previously housed the organisation's archive
